About us
NumisTreasures was founded on a family legacy in the collectibles trade, shaped by the long-standing standards of World Treasures, a respected shop operated by the founder’s aunt and uncle under the professional guidance of Atty. Escaño. From this foundation came a commitment to careful handling, honest evaluation, and long-term relationships, viewing numismatics as responsible stewardship rather than short-term trade.
Established in 2020 during the pandemic, NumisTreasures began as an online operation specializing in coins and currency. With limited physical interaction at the time, accuracy, documentation, and transparency became central to the firm’s approach. Each item was carefully reviewed and clearly communicated, laying the groundwork for trust and steady growth.
As experience grew, services expanded into grading assistance, authentication support, and international auction representation. Development was deliberate and knowledge-driven, built through continuous study, hands-on evaluation, and responsible handling of client submissions.
In 2023, NumisTreasures reached a significant milestone by becoming an authorized dealer for the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and the Certified Collectibles Group, including PMG, NGC, ASG, and CGC. This recognition reflected years of consistent work, adherence to professional standards, and a strong commitment to authenticity.
To date, NumisTreasures has had the privilege of handling thousands of coins and banknotes entrusted by collectors, families, and institutions. Every collection is treated with care, respect, and accountability, regardless of size or value. The firm is an active member of the International Bank Note Society (IBNS) and the Numismatic Society Asia (NSA), reinforcing its dedication to ethical practice and continued learning.
Today, NumisTreasures works closely with established auction houses in the United States and Europe while engaging with the global numismatic community. Through international travel and ongoing collaboration, the firm remains informed, client-focused, and committed to providing clear guidance, honest evaluation, and dependable support at every stage of the collecting journey.
Lovely Frias Manjares
Founder & Owner
Lovely was introduced to numismatics at an early age, and her interest developed gradually through observation, hands-on experience, and continuous learning.
Her earliest exposure came from watching her mother, who spent seventeen years working directly in the numismatic trade at her aunt and uncle’s shop. What stood out was her mother’s ability to distinguish genuine from counterfeit coins with quiet confidence, often in a short amount of time. Observing this skill left a lasting impression and highlighted how experience and consistent handling of authentic material develop sound judgment over time.
While still in school, Lovely began gaining experience independently. At the age of 17, she started building her own small collection and handling numismatic items, learning through direct exposure and careful study. She later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a background that strengthened her attention to detail, observational skills, and understanding of people, all of which are valuable in the numismatic field.
Her knowledge continued to develop steadily. Each consignment and grading submission became an opportunity to learn. She studied details closely, consulted references, and gained insight from both routine and complex pieces. Banknotes, in particular, became a growing focus. Their printing methods, serial structures, security features, and historical context required careful attention and ongoing study, an aspect of numismatics she continues to value.
Travel also became an important part of her learning process. Attending numismatic shows, meeting collectors and professionals, and examining material in person provided perspectives that cannot be gained through study alone. She looks forward to continuing to attend numismatic events worldwide, as exposure to different markets and collections further shapes her understanding.
At 24 years old, Lovely remains early in her professional journey and approaches her work with humility and openness to learning. She is grateful to have handled unique and historically important Philippine pieces, experiences that reinforce the responsibility and discipline required in this profession.
Today, Lovely’s role at NumisTreasures reflects an ongoing commitment to careful practice and continued learning. She continues to study, evaluate, and learn from every collection entrusted to the firm. Numismatics, in her view, is built over time through patience, experience, and respect for history, principles she strives to uphold in her work.
